The MedicAngel Mission to Help The Poor

An opportunity to help the poor, worldwide. (See our invitation to all similar minded individuals.)

We will assist in developing funding proposals for individual branches in similar countries; and contribute 90% of all received donations to all such participating branches. Note that we believe that tourists, ex-pats, world travelers and such can be called upon and motivated to help all such efforts to help the poor; and thereby help change the world.

"The MedicAngel Mission to Help The Poor" in Cambodia has been quite an experience.

Upon becoming familiar with the overwhelming lack of health and dental care in Cambodia's many communes, we then realized that most, if not all such problems were due to lack of education and a failure by those so impacted to realize that all have a right to seek and obtain what they need to live without lack of the basics for a normal life.

So, from doing our utmost to provide for such health and dental care, we soon understood that a similar effort must be made to supply access to education, clean water and an understanding of basic hygiene requirements.

While progress is slow and fraught with problems concerning corruption and demands for payments for permission by some local officials to so help the poor; we are happy to report that we have support from many truly compassionate persons in senior positions in Cambodia's government; and that, due to such, we have been able to help many individuals in the Sihanoukville area and are now preparing to spread our efforts northwards.

With all thanks to those who have been able to help and with all amity and good wishes to all, worldwide, who have undertaken similar efforts in similar areas!  Well Done!

(And with special thanks to Thon Vireak, a Buddhist / Humanist and now our 'Director, MedicAngel® Cambodia, who has performed beyond expectations in surmounting local problems and securing the permissions that we needed in order to do what must be done.)

I notice you wanted to expand Northwards and I thought there may be an opportunity to work together.

The organisation started as an Orphanage (which is ongoing) but has now expanded to helping the most needy villages in The Siem Reap area. I'm fundraising in Australia and going there next year to teach for 6 months to improve the English of his 40+volunteer teachers and monks.

He has done comprehensive work in 5 villages to date and has identified 3 moreas future projects which will need funding. One of the villages has 300 families and involves 1200 people.

His experience is impressive as is his achievments.

I would be interested in your comments
