Goal: Ensuring effective education for poor children utilizing local resources and volunteers affords.
Objectives: To ensure special care for education of poor children in primary and high school level, Local volunteer’s involvement will play a vital role for education for all and community development. Youth will be protected from drug and frustration violence.
Specific Plan:
- We shall train up the local youth volunteers who are college students take the primary students for education by special class in math and English.
- We shall build up networking with primary school in rural area to cooperate for education of students.
- We shall ensure leadership skill development of youth and protect them from drug violence and unsocial works.
- We shall utilize optimum local resource for the above operation. Solvent people will develop partnership with his village school where they studied.
- We shall stop dropout and ensure quality education.
Strong Points:
01. We have a legal Identity. Socio-Ecological and Livelihood Project Reg. from Social Welfare Department of Bangladesh Govt.
02. We have a practical experience in education and youth voluntarism; we will be able to handle relevant operation successfully. We have operated among 100 schools under Good Neighbors Bangladesh.
03. This operation is already proved for 100% success. Enrolled schools have been benefited and their dropout has been reduced, passing rate in exam has been increased, student’s guardian has been involved willingly.
04. Local volunteers (college students) will be trained up and they will take special class of Math and English Subject for primary students.
05. Many leaders, High Govt. Officials, Business man are interested to take part with this program for their own area.
06. The program will be run with partnership with local primary schools. Our trained up volunteer will play an important role for quality education of all students.
07. There is enough scope for social resource mobilizing for this operation.
08. Involvement the retired experience persons as volunteers service holder.
09. Big achievement from volunteers works in education and community development.
10. Govt. High Officials know about this experience and they will advocate for us.
11. Because everybody we love our village where have born and grown.
12. Everybody will be part of the great achievement.
Outcomes from the program:
01. Quality education for rural poor students and reducing drop out.
02. Guardian awareness and involvement with child education.
03. Safe the youth from drug violence and turning away in hopeful life.
04. Youth involvement in small entrepreneurship development.
Strategies of Local Resource Mobilizing:
01. Local volunteer’s involvement for special education of primary students.
02. Classroom of Primary school and furniture will be used for this operation.
03. Guardian of Students will contribute very marginal financial supports for the education of their children.
04. Financially solvent persons will sponsor for their own village school. PTB Team will arrange conference such solved persons in order to make them sponsor.
05. SELP will contact company and banks for getting necessary supports for education program.
Director Beneficiary:
01. Students of primary schools, 200 app. Students in each primary school. School’s nos will be increased up the contact of sponsored. Initially we have contacted 50 schools in 5 Districts. Total students 10.000 app.
02. 5 youth volunteers for each school. Hence 250 volunteers will be involved with volunteer service. Such 250 students will obtain leadership training and they will complete their higher education. The above group of each village will work against drug violence among more youth.
03. Guardians of 10000 students will participate in the meeting yearly four times and it will help them to be conscious for social live.
Funding arrangement:
01. Special education expense will be collected from sponsored and for each school it is essential Tk. 5000/ = US $40. SELP team is capable to expand the program through involvement of sponsored.
02. Volunteer’s training cost will be collected from friends and well wisher. Little financial supports needs for campaign of drug violence and AIDS/HIV. Good friends and leaders will help the SELP to be connected with donors.
03. Hence we shall give priority for individual’s friends worthy supports.
Project Duration:
01. For develop the platform it is running from June 2011 under the PTC. But from 2012 January it has been started in Nator, Dinajpur, Meherpur, Feni and Gopalgonj.
02. It will be continues to expanded at the needy village of all districts year by year.
03. Team will make sure the sustained of this project with in short time.
