Rising Sun Education Foundation (REF)

REF is a professionally managed non-profit organization set up in 1991 by Rana Jamil Ahmad.The vision of REF is to remove barriers of class and privilege and to make the citizens of Pakistan Agents of Positive Change. We believe that access to basic education is the right of every Pakistani. Apart from following the regular curriculum, we focus on the character building of students to equip them with high moral values and confidence.

The mission of REF is to promote mass scale, quality formal & non-formal education for less privileged children in an environment that encourages intellectual, moral and spiritual growth. REF will pursue its mission and goals in a responsible manner with honesty, integrity and transparency.

REF started its first educational project Sun Rise Girls School in Lidher a remote rural area of disrict Lahore.The main aim of REF to establish this school is to provide modern education in this village because there was not any awareness about girls education.
