Hopebridge Education Foundation Centres - Uganda

Today in Uganda, a sea of children have no source of guidance. These children have been turned into family heads and forced to take care of young brothers and sisters because their parents have died mostly due to HIV/AIDS.

These children are often forced to egage in child labour or in prostitution services in order to acquire some resources to look after themselves, as well as young brothers and sisters, and they cannot afford to go to school ,or even take their brothers and sisters to school.

They grow up in sharks because they cannot afford to build adequate housing facilities.

The children do not have able relatives to take care of them. When the parents died of HIV/AIDS, they left them on their own or in the hands of grandparents who are frail and have no sources of earnings. They thus do not have anybody to look up to for care and education needs.

This category of children have become a huge challenge everywhere in the townships and in the rural remote parts of the country.

The purpose of Hopebridge Education Foundation Services is to provide these children with free facilities for education and learning so that they can acquire some skills, develop careers and create something productive as source of livelihood for themselves. It is around this philosophy that a decision was made to start the Hopebride Education Foundation Centres.

We strive to ensure children orphans and those from economically and socialy disadvantanged backgrounds who have had no education opportunity to access education through Hopebridge Education Foundation Centres and  turn them into chartered accountants, merchant bankers, lawyers etc. We can be contacted on [lwerea@yahoo.com|mailto:lwerea@yahoo.com]
