EMPOWER-A-CHILD
The organization was founded in 2007 with an overall aim of enriching children with modern skills and giving them an opportunity to attain education, therefore forming a firm foundation that will yield a lasting developing pattern for many generations.
Objectives:
1. Empower youth by providing sponsorship for both formal education and vocational training
2. Facilitate compassion projects, i.e. programs for feeding the children
3. Present outreach topics affecting vulnerable youth, including career building & development, family conflict resolution, discipleship, and self actualization.
4. Collaborate & partner with organizations that work with vulnerable groups

SPONSORSHIP
EAC sponsors over 140 children. Activities Health assessment, communication between child and sponsor through letter writing to build on relationship, school visits to improve academic performance; home visits, follow ups and mentoring, camp in December, payment of school fees, as well as welfare and distribution of scholastic materials.
This program is the most far reaching of EAC's efforts, beginning with children ages 6-12 and working with them until the advance level of education. EAC trains and equips its staff to administer a broad range of child development activites, and a cncerted effort is made to build a meaningful relationships between child & sponsor.
Mentored to Mentor Program: provides the opportunity of a university education and intensive Christrian development for morst gifted and service oriented graduates of the Child Sponsorship Program. MMP students seize the opportunity to develop their God-given gift and become skilled professionals and Christian leaders who can positively impact their communities.
PROJECTS:
Feeding program to primary and nursery schools, including Victory in Banda, New Styles' in Wankulukuku, and Shalom Foundation in Kisenyi. In these places we make porridge for children once a week in order to demonstrate that someone loves and cares for them.
- Secondary schools include Kyambogo College, City Side, Margret High, Clive College, Kireka High, Harvard College, and New Horizon. In these schools, through scripture, the team selects applicable themes to challenge their attitudes toward negative life living, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, cultures, and morals.
Remand home in Naguru: the team reaches out to chidlren once a week to listen to their testimonies, play games, and counsel them accordingly-- in order to communicate that, even in rehabilitation/prison, someone loves & cares for them.
Katalemwa: This is a hospital for children with broken limbs and other disabilities. The team helps in the workshop where wheel chairs and other facilities are made.
Sanyu and Nsambya Babies Homes: The team helps the works with daily chores, such as scrubbing walls, laundry, sorting beans and rice, feeding, bathing, babysitting, chopping wood, and cleaning the compound.
